While there isn’t physical abuse or gratuitous mental/emotional abuse, the relationship between Jennifer and Needy is unhealthy and Needy frequently goes along with Jennifer’s plans, puts up with her sometimes passive aggressive nature, and overlooks some insults. So I would say it’s on the cusp of forgiving an abuser and could effect those sensitive to this.
