Scene Alerts

Know exactly when
triggers happen — and
how to skip them.

Scene Alerts are produced by paid contributors who watch every title and document trigger moments with timestamps, descriptions, and skip-to points. Here's how they work.

Community Ratings are free — always.

The yes/no community answers across hundreds of trigger categories are free for everyone. No account, no subscription.

What you get

Scene Alerts go further than yes or no.

A Scene Alert is produced by a trusted contributor who watches the title specifically to document trigger moments with care. Each one includes four things the community rating alone can't give you:

Scene Alert
Cue
Two characters talk quietly around a kitchen table.
TRIGGER
1:44:12A dog is fatally struck by a vehicle off-screen; characters arrive to find it at the roadside.
1:46:30
  • Warning before the scene starts

A description of what happens immediately before the trigger — so you know it's coming with time to prepare or step away.

  • Skip-to timestamp

An exact point to jump to with your remote — past the trigger, back into the film safely.

  • Written to inform, not to upset

Descriptions are drafted carefully — no graphic detail, no language that could retraumatize. You get what you need to know, nothing more.

  • Spoiler-conscious

Written to reveal as little of the surrounding story as possible. You find out about the moment — not the movie.

How paying helps people who can't.

Scene Alerts are produced by paid contributors — people who watch carefully, document trigger moments, and write descriptions to a consistent standard. For each title that takes roughly 2.5× as long as the title's original runtime. Subscribing funds that work, and so does buying a single title or season.

It also does something else: a set of Scene Alert categories stays free for every visitor — no subscription, no account, nothing to pay. Those categories are free because the people who do pay fund the contributors who produce them. However you pay, that is what keeps them free.
