Technically no, I think, BUT there's a scene that looks very similar to a scene of domestic violence: A man and a woman who barely know each other have sex in the man's hotel room. Afterwards, the woman physically attacks the man out of the blue, throwing herself against him nails first, so to speak, clawing at him and biting his chest hard while he struggles to hold her off (he doesn't get violent). She ends up smashing a bottle on his head, leaving him unconscious.

We see the main character mentally unravelling to some extent because of a number of people who are playing with his mind, refusing to tell him what he wants to know. Whether there's gaslighting as such, I can't say; I find the concept fuzzy.

A man is overtly stalked by more than one sinister person whose motives are unknown to him. Having the same persons showing up almost everywhere he goes, seeing them standing a way away staring at him for the longest time etc. frays his nerves considerably.

The main character seems like he might be an alcoholic.

Technically, no one cheats in the course of the movie's events. We're told that one of the characters, a woman whose husband hanged himself in the very beginning of the movie, participated in orgies without her husband on a regular basis while he was alive. We see her having sex with a man only a few days after her husband's suicide; some people might consider this a type of infidelity.

There's a scene in which a character is standing/walking between bookcases that stand so close to each other that it made me feel slightly claustrophobic. Also, a man falls partway through a hole in the floor and gets stuck there with only his arms, shoulders and head sticking up; he stays in that predicament for a good while.

Suicide, the very beginning of the movie. We see the man write a letter, step onto a stool and put the noose, which hangs from a chandelier, around his neck. The moment of the hanging, we see only his legs, kicking a little, then going still. ... Later on, we see a dead man who's been strung up by one ankle.

Suicide by hanging (although we don't see the face, only the spasming legs, the moment it happens). Strangulation with a necklace. There may be other instances; I'm not sure. I feel like mentioning that we see a man lying dead in a basin, having been drowned off-screen.

A character self-immolates, but it must be said that he believes it won't harm him in the least. There may be other self-harm; I don't remember.

I'd say yes. A woman comes on to a man extremely strongly, with words and body language, and even though he's flustered, wasn't in a good place to begin with, and is not reacting positively to her sexualising words/actions at all, she goes ahead and places her flat hand directly on his p***s through his closed pants, moving her hand a bit, then starts kissing him. After a while, he "gives in", and they have sex. She did it all calculatingly, to manipulate him into giving her something she wants. When, right after they're done having sex, she realises that the manipulation didn't work, she attacks him physically and leaves him passed out. ... I must add that the person I watched the movie with interprets the scene differently; he doesn't think the man is unwilling at all, just wary as to her motives. Like, basically, "He wants to f*** her, but isn't sure exactly how dangerous she is" (it's all a high-stakes, mysterious game, and she's obviously a powerful player with a more or less sinister agenda).

Sad? Nah. Happy? Unhappy? That depends on your perspective. We're not left feeling sorry for anyone, since the persons who come to a sticky end towards the end of the movie are ruthless, malevolently narcissistic Satan-worshippers. But if you're sincerely religious, you may consider the ending unhappy, since it seems the devil gets a living soul - a soul that gives itself willingly.

To be honest, I can't remember whether someone is actually hit by a car, but I want to mention a scene in which someone is ALMOST hit by a car. He's walking along the road, realises that a driver is heading straight for him (obviously on purpose), and leaps to the side, unharmed. It does seem like the driver might only have wanted to scare him, but I imagine it could still be a trigger.

We don't see a person drown, but we do see a person who has just been drowned. He's lying on his back in a shallow fountain basin, his face under water but clearly visible.
