Graphically and unnecessarily in just about every scene. Almost as if it's the main focus of the movie really
A very unnecessary and graphic scene where after Wallace kills an English Soldier with a morning star, another soldier starts stabbing Wallace's horse in the throat with a spear and it is as graphic as it was unnecessary.
The Battle Of Sterling Bridge (Actually Falkirk) for 3-5 minutes, several horses are graphically shown being stabbed and impaled by spears and every one of them are shown bleeding and screaming as they die and slamming dead on the ground and it looks very realistic. (I get that it actually happened but there was no need to put that much emphasis on it)
Later in the movie Wallace forces his horse to jump out of the highest window of a barracks and into a mote. It's body is shown floating dead in the moat.
Towards the end Robert The Bruce charges Wallace with a jousting lance and ends up killing Wallace's horse with it in a close up shot like the rest of the mentioned scenes
